Many chart the year by the annual dreaming we do while thumbing through (or scrolling through) a seed catalog. Thoughts and inklings of herbs, vegetables, fruits become places that are walked off, plotted out, tilled, worked over, and seeded with what we wish to cultivate, what we wish to eat, or sell, or what we wish to see in vases. In this writing workshop hosted by poet Laressa Dickey, participants will use the Fedco Seed Catalog as a departure point for making poems—small texts that are spaces to contain memory, desire, and imagination.
