A guided abstract painting workshop to reflect on instances in which our emotions impacted our responses, behavior or decisions. Mays-Sutor is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Art Therapist. She will be introduced with a short talk on how emotions inform our interpretations and decision making by Erika Rodriguez, UMF postdoctoral fellow with the New Commons Project. In-person participation is open to UMF Community only (preregister here), but other community members are invited to participate in a self-guided capacity following the written instructions prepared by the workshop facilitators. In-person and self-guided participants’ work may be featured on the New Commons Project website, with permission. If you are interested in participating online, please contact erika.rodriguez@maine.edu to receive complimentary art materials, on a first come, first served basis.
